Das gilt besonders f\u00fcr Frauen: 50-60&nbsp;% erkranken mindestens einmal in ihrem Leben daran.<sup>1<\/sup> Sie k\u00f6nnen aber auch bei Kindern und M\u00e4nnern auftreten. So h\u00e4ufig sie auch sein m\u00f6gen, viele Menschen fragen sich dennoch: <strong>\u201eWas ist eine Harnwegsinfektion eigentlich?\u201c<\/strong>. Eine Harnwegsinfektion ist ein mikrobieller Befall der <strong>Harnwege<\/strong>, also der <strong>Blase,<\/strong> der <strong>Harnr\u00f6hre<\/strong> und der <strong>Nieren<\/strong>.<sup>2<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-symptome-einer-harnwegsinfektion\">Symptome einer Harnwegsinfektion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Es gibt zwei Arten von Harnwegsinfektionen: die Infektion der unteren (Harnr\u00f6hre und Blase) und der oberen Harnwege (Nieren). Zu den <strong>Symptomen<\/strong> einer Infektion der unteren Harnwege z\u00e4hlen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Brennen beim Wasserlassen<\/li><li>H\u00e4ufigeres Wasserlassen<\/li><li>Verst\u00e4rkter Harndrang<\/li><li>Tr\u00fcber oder blutiger Urin<\/li><li>Stark riechender Urin<\/li><li>Beckenschmerzen bei Frauen<\/li><li>Rektalschmerzen bei M\u00e4nnern<sup>3<\/sup><\/li><li>Schmerzen im Unterleib<\/li><li>Erh\u00f6hte Temperatur, sich hei\u00df und zittrig f\u00fchlen<\/li><li>Sehr niedrige Temperatur<\/li><li>Verwirrung und Unruhe bei \u00e4lteren Menschen<\/li><li>Inkontinenz bei \u00e4lteren Menschen<sup>4<\/sup><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Eine Infektion der oberen Harnwege kann schnell gef\u00e4hrlich werden. Einige Ursachen von Harnwegsinfektionen sind:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Geschlechtsverkehr<\/li><li>Schwangerschaft<\/li><li>Nierensteine<\/li><li>Eine vergr\u00f6\u00dferte Prostata bei M\u00e4nnern und Verstopfung bei Kindern<\/li><li>Blasenkatheter<\/li><li>Ein geschw\u00e4chtes Immunsystem (z.&nbsp;B. Diabetiker oder Krebspatienten nach einer Chemotherapie)<\/li><li>Ungen\u00fcgende Fl\u00fcssigkeitszufuhr<\/li><li>Mangelnde Hygiene<sup>10<\/sup><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>W\u00e4hrend die meisten Menschen nie oder nur selten eine Blasenentz\u00fcndung bekommen, leiden manche unter <strong>wiederkehrenden Harnwegsinfekten<\/strong> oder einer <strong>chronischen Blasenentz\u00fcndung<\/strong>.
